Excessive Sweating Treatment

Excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis affects thousands of people throughout the world. It is a very common condition which can cause certain areas of the body such as the underarms, the soles of the feet and the palms of the hand to sweat excessively.

Excessive Sweating Treatment

Although there are a number of excessive sweating treatment options from anti-perspirants through to surgery, a very effective solution is the injection of botulinum toxin (Botox®) into the affected area. Here at Cosmetic Courses, we offer this treatment for the underarm area.

It is a very simple procedure which will only take about 45 minutes to complete. The area is cleansed and a starch-iodine test is used to highlight the areas which sweat the most. This test can be quite messy and the iodine can stain clothes so we would advise attending the appointment in dark clothes, preferably a strappy top. The Botox® is then injected under both armpits which after 7-14 days will start to reduce the amount you sweat in this area. The results can then last between 6 and 9 months. This treatment is not designed to stop you sweating altogether but to bring your sweating to a ‘normal’ level.

Cost of Excessive Sweating Treatment

The cost of this treatment start £175 for a model patient within our training environment. This is for both underarms which is an approximate discount of £325 on high street costs.

Here at Cosmetic Courses we only use products we trust so we use genuine Allergan Botox® to treat our patients to maximise patient safety and satisfaction. We can provide treatments to suit all budgets, whether private one-to-one or as a model patient within our training environment at a discounted rate.
